By the end of August, I'll be taking my writing off Substack and moving it to Beehiiv. The reasons aren't complicated, and they certainly aren't personal squabbles. They're moral ones. Substack has chosen (repeatedly and unapologetically) to platform Nazis, Nazi-adjacent apologists, and their enabling fanboys. It's not a bug. It's not an oversight. It's a business model.

Add to that the unrelenting presence of Bari Weiss and her little media empire of genocide denialism. Weiss is treated as if she's some courageous voice of truth when, in reality, she's a relentless apologist for the ongoing destruction of Palestine at the hands of Israel. She dresses it up in "reasoned debate," but let's not kid ourselves: this is just PR for ethnic cleansing. Substack provides the microphone, she provides the script, and both profit from pretending mass suffering is just another thinkpiece topic.

I don't have any interest in paying rent to a platform that plays landlord to fascists and genocide cheerleaders. Writing is supposed to mean something, even if it's small. Even if it's just one person reading, one person thinking. Hosting that work in a digital slum designed to flatter Nazis and their enablers isn't just uncomfortable; it's complicity.

So here's the timeline:

  • I'll be fully moved over to Beehiiv by the end of August.

  • All new posts will go up there from that point forward.

  • Existing posts here will be updated with their new Beehiiv links so nothing gets lost in the shuffle.

  • This Substack account will remain active through September, mostly to make sure nobody gets left behind in the migration.

After that? The lights go off here, and they stay off.

Beehiiv isn't perfect (no platform is) but it doesn't carry Substack's very public baggage of Nazi rehabilitation and genocide denial. It also gives me better tools to grow this project without feeling like I'm subsidizing extremism. It's not just about optics; it's about integrity. And no, I don't mean the empty, performative kind of "integrity" where people make statements for clout and then quietly stay put. I mean actually leaving.

If you've been reading my work here, first of all, thank you. Seriously. Attention is the rarest currency in the world right now, and you've given me yours. I hope you'll stick with me through the move to Beehiiv. The writing won't change. The voice won't change. The snark, the skepticism, the sharp elbows at bad faith actors: those all come with me. The only thing that changes is the address.

By September, Substack will just be another empty storefront on the internet for me. By then, I'll be writing somewhere that doesn't make me feel like I'm sitting at the Nazi lunch table because "everyone deserves a voice."

See you on Beehiiv.
